How product gaps are found

A gap is a product your customers ask for and don't find in your store. Capi reads the last 14 days from three sources: product searches that found nothing (the strongest signal), availability questions the agent had no answer for, and customer messages in sales conversations.

Capi groups similar requests into one gap, shows it only when it was asked in at least three different wordings, and lists the top 10 by confidence and number of requests. The page is worked out when you open it.

Best practices

  • Read the example questions before deciding; they're your customers' real words, and the title is keywords taken from them.
  • Start with high-confidence gaps. Below 50% is only a signal.
  • If the product is already in your store and still shows here, the problem is its name or description; add the words customers use, or turn on “Smart meaning-based search”.

Common mistakes and how to fix them

  • ProblemNo gap shows.

FixNo request was repeated in at least three wordings in the last 14 days. That's good — or there aren't many conversations yet.

    Gaps list

Each card is a product customers asked for but you don't carry. The confidence shows how sure Capi is.

Example“Oud perfume under 200 SAR” appears 47 times with 85% confidence — add it to your catalog.
  2. 2

    Confidence

How sure Capi is that customers really want this. 85%+ means act now; 50-85% means review; below 50% is just a signal.

Example“Wireless charger” at 92% confidence — add it immediately.
