Snapchat
Connection, data sharing and numbers per campaign
Snapchat ads: connection, data sharing and each campaign's numbers.
Open the page in the dashboardHow the Snapchat page works
Everything about Snapchat: the connection, data sharing, spend and results, the campaigns table, Capi's numbers per campaign, and the platform guide folded at the bottom. The page appears in the menu once the platform is connected.
Ads here lead the customer to your store. An order counts for the ad when the same customer orders after a visit carrying the ad's click id, within 30 days; the last ad before the order gets it.

Connect Snapchat
- 1
Press the connect button
In the connection card press “Connect Snapchat”. The platform's window opens; sign in and approve every permission. You don't type any id or token.
- 2
Your accounts are found for you
After approval Capi reads your accounts and picks what fits your store. Switch accounts from the card; “Refresh accounts” reads them again if you created a new one.
- 3
Finish what's missing
Under “What blocks it now” you see what's missing on the platform itself. Snapchat needs: An active ad account, a payment method in Snap Ads Manager, a Public Profile (every Snap ad needs one), and the Snap pixel on your store for sales campaigns.
- 4
Turn on data sharing
In the card beside it, turn on data sharing so your sales reach the platform and it learns who buys. Follow the result in “Tracking & pixels”.
If the connect button doesn't work
If connecting Snapchat shows as not enabled on Capi yet, that's on our side: contact support to turn it on — nothing is needed from you. Cancelling in the platform's window changes nothing; start again whenever you like.
Tips
- Snapchat can't target cities yet: a launch with cities is refused on Snap only, so leave cities empty for a country-wide campaign.
- “Disconnect” only stops Capi reading numbers and managing campaigns; your campaigns on the platform stay as they are.
- Compare this platform with the others under “Reports & performance” on the ads overview before moving budget.

FixRead “What blocks it now” on the connection card — usually a payment method or an inactive account, each with a fix link.
ProblemOrders don't reach the platform.
FixData sharing is off, or the connection wasn't granted permission to send purchases. Turn sharing on, or reconnect and approve every permission.
ProblemSales campaigns aren't available.
FixThe ad account has no pixel, or it hasn't fired on your store. Traffic campaigns work until the pixel does.
