Connection, data sharing and numbers per campaign
Google ads: connection, data sharing and each campaign's numbers.
Open the page in the dashboardHow the Google Ads page works
Everything about Google Ads: the connection, data sharing, spend and results, the campaigns table, Capi's numbers per campaign, and the platform guide folded at the bottom. The page appears in the menu once the platform is connected.
Ads here lead the customer to your store. An order counts for the ad when the same customer orders after a visit carrying the ad's click id, within 30 days; the last ad before the order gets it.

Connect Google Ads
- 1
Press the connect button
In the connection card press “Connect Google Ads”. The platform's window opens; sign in and approve every permission. You don't type any id or token.
- 2
Your accounts are found for you
After approval Capi reads your accounts and picks what fits your store. Switch accounts from the card; “Refresh accounts” reads them again if you created a new one.
- 3
Finish what's missing
Under “What blocks it now” you see what's missing on the platform itself. Google Ads needs: A Google Ads account with a payment method — ads don't run before one is added. On connecting, Capi finds your accounts and creates the conversion action for you.
- 4
Turn on data sharing
In the card beside it, turn on data sharing so your sales reach the platform and it learns who buys. Follow the result in “Tracking & pixels”.
If the connect button doesn't work
If connecting Google Ads shows as not enabled on Capi yet, that's on our side: contact support to turn it on — nothing is needed from you. Cancelling in the platform's window changes nothing; start again whenever you like.
Tips
- Google may spend up to twice the daily budget on one day, never more than budget × 30.4 a month. If the account shows as a Google test account, ads never serve and no spend appears.
- “Disconnect” only stops Capi reading numbers and managing campaigns; your campaigns on the platform stay as they are.
- Compare this platform with the others under “Reports & performance” on the ads overview before moving budget.
